So I finally got around to watching The Girl Who Knew Too Much the other night, well Evil Eye as I've never seen that version before. Audiowise the soundtrack has pops and hisses nothing to distracting but their there. Picturewise it mostly looks very good, there are a few jumps in certain scenes where frames are obviously missing. I had a quick look through Girl and the image is again mostly good, there are scratches and marks throughout but it's perfectly watchable. It certainly isn't on the level of Black Sunday in terms of picture quality.

It's a good set and the inclusion of Evil Eye makes it an attractive package.

They should be getting near-simultaneous UK and US releases.

This may be a stupid question... but if Arrow are having a base in the U.S. can't that base of operations release unrated content, which we can order from the U.S. like any other import disc, so if Arrow can't get an uncut release thru the BBFC they can just release it in the U.S. as unrated and bypass the BBFC entirely? Hope so as the possibilities are very interesting indeed

(region free unless license forbids it of course)

Yes, this was the reason that Mondo Macabro, Blue Underground and Severin Films moved their base of distribution to the USA, all are originally UK run DVD releasing firms.

All three are American companies.

Severin were started in LA in 2006, BU came about when Bill Lustig (A New Yorker) left Anchor Bay US, not sure when MM sprang up.

MM and Severin both had UK offices a few years ago and started releasing things but that soon stopped.

If my information is incorrect please show me where the correct info is and i'll stand corrected.

Yeah, I'm pretty certain they're US companies, would bet my guitar collection on it in fact!

That's good to hear – thanks for the clarification.

In fact didn't Severin only release three titles in the UK? Bloody Moon and two Jess Franco cannibal films?

I think there was one called Felicity as well.

Don't quote me on that though.
