I understand what fuzzymc is saying anyway as I originally mentioned that if I don't like them I can always sell or trade it in the future, I'm not looking to make money I'm looking to have a fun movie experience. Plus I don't think it's flipping or scalping if you sell a used item.

Anyway, I bought House yesterday and I watched the first film last night (which I had seen before but back in the late 80s as a pre-teen so it doesn't count). I really enjoyed it, I actually laughed a lot and the 'wife monster' was actually pretty disgusting. Great stuff. I'll watch the first doc after work and perhaps House 2.

So far so good although I'm expecting a decline in quality. It's a nice set though and the book is really good. If you count the book as a separate entity (and at 150-ish pages you should) then each piece in the set only costs £7.00 which is a damn good bargain if you ask me.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it

I'm excited to recieve mine from Arrow, remember seeing the covers on VHS and cheapo DVDs in my very early years in the video store and then they all disappeared by the time I was about 10 meaning I never got to see them, have a feeling I'll quite enjoy them.

And if I don't, no loss, as I got it for free with Arrow points Speaking of which, bring on the Easter sale!

I think it's a shame that they didn't include the full workprint of Phantasm 2 as an extra. I'm pretty sure it's on the Shout Factory release of the film. I just want to appreciate the film uncensored, regardless of the image quality

I cancelled my Arrow Phantasm boxset per-order. 70 pounds! I dearly love the franchise but simply can not afford to spend so much darn money with my current position in life/work. Hopefully the set will be heavily reduced before it sells out or a cheaper standard edition will replace it. Struggling to understand why a 5 film Phantasm set (using non-exclusive masters) is so damn expensive whereas a House 4 film set (using brand new masters) is so bloomin' cheap. Doesn't make any sense.

Firstly, there is the packaging, but it's also possibly to do with the fact that the 'Phantasm' set contains a much newer film. The last movie in the set, 'RaVager' was made in 2016, while the latest film in the 'House' set - 'House IV' - was released in 1992

I really want the set, but I don't want the wanky packaging which will just get dusty. I want the bonus stuff which is on the exclusive disc. I'm quite surprised I haven't caved and ordered this one, but I don't plan to at this point, give me a standard set or individual releases and I'll be with you all the way. What I don't want is a cardboard faux-marble plinth with a Chinese manufactured plastic silver ball with 5 films in flimsy cardboard cases for £70

I'm exactly the same. I don't have the storage space for the large cardboard box and replica sphere – I just want the BDs, preferably in Amaray cases!
