Thanks to Demdike's enquiry and the responses to it, I've ordered The Chill Factor, Doom Asylum, Edge of the Axe, Trapped Alive, and (from my wish list) the special edition of The Exorcist III

Nice one.

Did that amount of discs stay at £2 postage if you don't mind me asking?

Another question.

Is the Legion cut of Exorcist III substantially different to the theatrical version?

Sadly not – it came to £4 postage.

I've been in a few from Glasgow to London and the only thing different is the accents. The staff aesthetic is consistent.

Think I'll get a few horror ones the next time Fopp's got a sale on. No paying £4 postage or whatever it is.

It depends what you mean by 'substantially'. It's not like the difference between Apocalypse Now and Apocalypse Now: Redux.

However, the director's cut, from memory, has more dialogue, developing the relationship between Kinderman and Dyer and less footage of Jason Miller's Patient X. Legion has much more of Brad Dourif‘s Gemini Killer (and is better for it), plus the beginning and ending of the film is different to the theatrical cut.

It's definitely worth watching both and deciding which one you feel is closest to the source material, William Friedkin's 1973 film, or you find most enjoyable/entertaining/thrilling.

I opted to buy Hagazussa, Death Smiles on a Murderer and Hound of the Baskervilles.

It's rare to be able to pick up a Hammer blu for £8. Plus there looks to be some worthwhile extras on the disc too.

When it came down to it, it would cost me a lot more in petrol and parking than £2 to go to my nearest HMV and hope they had the titles i wanted in stock.

Fine selections and your rationale for paying for postage is why I didn't mind paying £4 p&p for my order. I knew if I was to drive into town, park, buy them at HMV, and then drive home, I'd be paying more than four quid.
