Charles Band's incredible life in strange cinema has been revealed this week in a hotly anticipated book called CONFESSIONS OF A PUPPETMASTER from publisher Harper Collins!

The book is a tell-all memoir charting Charlie's early life growing up on film sets in Italy to his first stabs at exploitation filmmaking in the 1970s, to his founding of his own studios in the '80s and '90s and all the insane films and bona fide horror classics produced during these periods. You'll also get saucy stories about Charlie's sometimes salacious celebrity encounters, his mega triumphs and his bummer tragedies and so much more, all written in a fast, fun and heartfelt way that will have you flipping the book's pages like a fiend.

CONFESSIONS OF A PUPPETMASTER is ON SALE NOW and you can order your copy, as well as find it on book shelves across the nation, as well as Kindle and other formats.

Iconic Italian horror director Sergio (TORSO, ALL THE COLORS OF THE DARK) Martino's mythical 1979 dark fantasy thriller ISLAND OF THE FISHMEN is swimming to Blu-ray and DVD from Full Moon...and for the first time in North America we're presenting it in its ORIGINAL director's cut!

Taking its cues from H.G. Wells' THE ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU and H.P. Lovecraft's THE SHADOW OVER INNSMOUTH, ISLAND OF THE FISHMEN is an Italian genre film like no other. After surviving two harrowing nautical disasters, Lieutenant Claude de Ross washes up on a remote, uncharted tropical island along with a gaggle of similarly stranded escaped convicts. Soon, the cursed castaways are attacked by amphibious monsters, the work of Professor Ernest Marvin, a disgraced American biologist who has tampered with genetics to create an army of "fishmen". Professor Marvin controls the creatures and has been using them to plunder a submerged city of gold that he believes to be the lost city of Atlantis. But the natives are restless and the fishmen are slowly, surely beginning to hatch their own plans.

Starring legendary actors Joseph Cotton (CITIZEN KANE, THE HELLBENDERS), Richard Johnson (ZOMBIE, THE HAUNTING) and comely "Bond girl" Barbara Bach (THE SPY WHO LOVED ME), ISLAND OF THE FISHMEN was originally released twice to American theaters in the early '80s via Roger Corman's New World pictures, first as SOMETHING WAITS IN THE DARK and then in a radically altered version called SCREAMERS. Full Moon is thrilled to be presenting Martino's magnum opus in its completely uncut original form for the first time in North America in a gorgeously remastered transfer from the original 35mm negative.

ISLAND OF THE FISHMEN is available NOW at www.FullMoonDirect.com for $21.95 (Blu-ray ) and $16.95 (DVD). Don't let this masterpiece of Mediterranean macabre slip through your fingers!

'Cinderella' (1977) - Coming to Blu-ray from Full Moon Features

Release date: May 10

"Straight out of the swingin' '70s comes CINDERELLA , an early Charles Band classic that combines salacious sex, silly humor, ribald romance and best of all, utterly insane musical numbers!

Perpetually harmed by her stepsisters and wicked stepmother, poor Cinderella finally cuts loose when she gets the chance to attend the Prince's gala orgiastic ball. After the sexually frustrated Prince beds every young woman at the party, he's about to give up on love until he couples up with our enchanted heroine. But when the clock strikes midnight, Cinderella flees, leaving the smitten sovereign feeling blue. Will the prince find true happiness between the legs of his lady love and live lustfully ever after?

Directed by Michael Pataki (MANSION OF THE DOOMED) and starring cult actress Cheryl Lynn "Rainbeaux" Smith (LEMORA, CAGED HEAT, PARASITE), Sy Richardson (THEY LIVE, COLORS) and British glam rocker Brett Smiley, this cheeky, hilarious and unapologetically and dance-filled farce"

FULL MOON NEWS ISSUE #294
Wednesday, March 9th, 2022

First up is the irreverent and R-rated fractured fairy tale CINDERELLA, a film that that combines salacious sex, silly humor, ribald romance and best of all, utterly insane musical numbers! Directed by Michael Pataki (MANSION OF THE DOOMED) and starring cult actress Cheryl Lynn "Rainbeaux" Smith (LEMORA, CAGED HEAT, PARASITE), Sy Richardson (THEY LIVE, COLORS) and British glam rocker Brett Smiley, this cheeky, hilarious and unapologetically horny song and dance-filled farce is presented here for the first time totally uncut and beautifully remastered from the original 35mm camera negative!

Next, don't miss grabbing a copy of END OF THE WORLD, a moody, bizarre science fiction drama that combines elements of sophisticated genre classics like THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL and the gritty, downmarket vibe of 70s exploitation horror films, something that director John Hayes (GRAVE OF THE VAMPIRE, GARDEN OF THE DEAD) excelled at. Featuring the iconic Christopher Lee (HORROR OF DRACULA, THE WICKER MAN) in a dual role and elevated by a supporting cast that includes Sue Lyon (LOLITA, CRASH!), Dean Jagger (X THE UNKNOWN, KING CREOLE) and Lew Ayres (BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES, SALEM'S LOT), END OF THE WORLD has previously only been available on disc in a muddy transfer struck from video sources. Full Moon recently unearthed a pristine 16mm interpositive of the movie, now remastered in HD and looking better than it's ever looked.

Both titles retail for $21.95 (Blu-ray) and $16.95 (DVD) and if you buy them together, you'll save 20%! Don't miss out on this double-shot '70s cinema deal, available now only at www.FullMoonDirect.com!
