A Haunted House of Horror release with some extras would be very welcome as its quite interesting historically as an early example of the teenage slasher genre and reportedly could have jump started the craze much earlier had it not been for interference from producers.

Released under it's Canadian title Sunday In The Country ,presumably to avoid confusion with Shohei Imamura's Japanese serial killer flick of the same name.

Anyone have any info on the Blu ray of The Asphyx released on Monday?
Are the two versions on the disc?
If so, are the extended scenes remastered now?

Can't find any info. If the extended scenes are still SD it seems like a pointless purchase, for me anyway. I'll stick with DVD'S.

I had a look in HMV today and it mentioned deleted scenes (presumably still SD), and the runtime was 86 mins. It's possible there's an option to watch them reintegrated into the film on the disc, and they neglected to mention it on the back. Hopefully someone can clarify this, as I'll probably go for the Kino version if they just have the shorter cut on there.
