Makes the film more memorable, even seeing him as a tough captain makes us hate him from the start.

My old man was a big Eastwood fan and we always used to watch his films on TV or rent his latest on VHS.
The first film I remember seeing big George in was a TV showing of Thunderbolt and Lightfoot....yep Big Red was a right nasty bastard!

Know what?
Think I'll go and watch Just Before Dawn.

I'm a big fan of Eastwood myself and started watching his films when I was a kid. Funnily enough I'm not bothered about 'modern' westerns that star anyone else.

I've never seen Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, although coincidentally I bought the Blu-ray a few months ago as the prices of the deleted Second Sight edition continued to rise. Now that you've mentioned it I reckon I'll probably watch it over the next few days or so.

But yes, I bloody love George Kennedy. I've seen him in so many entertaining films such as The Human Factor, Hired to Kill, Death Ship, Just Before Dawn and so many others. I was sad to hear when he died about four years ago.

Delivered today. Can't wait to crack this bad boy open. Nice to see another independent company actually making the BBFC certs smaller. Don't understand why some are still making them larger than they need to be. Anyway I've gone off topic here. Looks like a great package.
