Ididn't realize the Finnish equivalent of the BFI restored the film in 2015.

I did notice there was a foreign blu ray that came out a few years back but i think i'd just got the dvd at that time.

Looks like an original poster on the new Eureka release so don't let Stephen hear you say that.

You're right. It just looks too colourful and cheerful to be for a snowy horror / mythological tale.

I haven't seen The White Reindeer, but based on the description and the glowing endorsements above, have pre-ordered it from Zavvi.

that's the release I had too, now offloaded on ebay in anticipation of the upgrade.

now if only Eureka could get Lake of the Dead (1958) too?

Hadn't heard of "Lake" before sounds interesting.

Someone really needs to release the Russian film "Viy" (original version) over here too.

Not a day one purchase for me, I rewatched it for the first time in years last August on the Horror Channel and only gave it 3 stars on Letterboxd, not the best SK film (or book TBH), but I’ll get it eventually no doubt

I bought firestarter on blu after loving it as a teenager....very disappointed.

Havent seen cujo in ages, love the look of the box though!
