I've seen more than a few of them, not quite half though. I'm really surprised to see Interior. Leather Bar. on there. I know Kermode loves it, I've heard him talk about previously, and it is an interesting film but it's far from essential, more of a curio.

I think I'll make a quick excel sheet with the list and see which ones I can watch over the next few months.

I wonder if it was Mark Kermode himself who chose the '50 Films Every Film Fan Should Watch'

If it was him, why has he not mentioned 'The Exorcist'?

I thought that was a title he regularly described as being 'one of the greatest films of all time'

I was expecting it in there as I don't know of another critic who gushes over it as much as he does

I presumed because they were all BFI related films, mainly British productions, rather than Hollywood movies.

For the record i've seen 26 and own 18 of the films listed.

I just bought one of them today.
