Do we have any idea if the Halloween set is going to be region locked yet? Anchor Bay UK seem to be ignoring questions about the set.

Scream discs licenced from majors are all locked, so the second and third films are a certainty.

Also, while anchor bay stateside may have the rights to share with scream factory, it might be a different matter in the uk...

Well the fact Anchor Bay UK are ignoring peoples emails on the subject and they've made no announcement themselves about a Region B release I doubt we're getting one. Huge shame.

I don't see how we can. The US release is a joint venture between AB and Shout Factory. The films have different rights in the UK to that of the US (I'm not even sure who owns the rights to part III in the UK anymore there have been so many budget copies).

I think Anchor Bay hold the rights to 1, 2, 4, 5, 6. Halloween 3 I'm not sure and the Rob Zombie films are Lionsgate aren't they? It's a shame the US release is region locked I'd love to have the complete set of Halloween films with all those extras.

Miramax have H20 and Resurrection. Or at least they did.

Anchor Bay have 1, 4 and 5. Scream has 2 and 3, licenced from Universal and are region-locked. So it's a given that they will remain so. 6, 7 and 8 are all Miramax owned and were licenced to Echo Bridge.

You were asking about and fishing for advice for ages before you bought your machine, Jamiouse, you should have gone multiregion, mate.
