I never liked Valentine - it was a big disappointment after Urban Legend.

Yeah, I wasn’t overly impressed when I saw it at the cinema, revisited it on DVD a few months later and still wasn’t impressed. Haven’t seen it since so my opinion might have changed in the last 18 years or so

I saw it once - I thought it was pretty listless - Urban Legend has great set pieces, particularly the opening with Natasha Gregson-Wagner - it’s a very well made film and that the killings had the urban myth theme, it was just really enjoyable and made it stand out along the post-Scream slashers.

About Valentine, I listened to the commentary on the DVD, and the director himself, cut out the violence, not MPAA...
