'April Fools Day' - Blu-Ray pre-order direct from Shout Factory - $28.43

Release date: March 24th, 2020

"GOOD FRIENDS ... WITH SOME TIME TO KILL.

When Muffy St. John (Deborah Foreman, Valley Girl) invited her college friends up to her parents' secluded island home for the time of their lives, she just forgot to tell them it just might be the last time of their lives.

As soon as the kids arrive on the island, someone starts trimming the guest list ... one murder at a time. And what starts out as a weekend of harmless "April Fool's Day" pranks turns into a bloody battle for survival.

It's just what you'd expect from the producer who brought you Body Parts, Species and three of the Friday the 13th films!"

  • This is being presented as a Collector’s Edition and will come guaranteed with a slipcover in its first three months of release.
  • The newly-commissioned "doll-ed" up artwork comes from artist Yannick Bouchard. (And if you know the film this makes perfect sense) This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will feature the classic original theatrical artwork
  • New extras are in progress and will be announced on a later date but we can confirm today that we have several cast and crew already on board and we plan to load it up as much as possible!
  • Pre-order direct from Scream Factory and the first 500 orders will receive an exclusive limited-edition 18” x 24” rolled poster of the exclusive new illustration.

This arrived today - so pleased to see that it includes the original key-art from the theatrical release - double whammy what with it including the original colour timing too (which I’ve only ever seen pan and scan).

I’m so please they did the new transfer - I was gobsmacked when I saw the LaserDisc for the first time and wit messed how much of a bodge-job Badham had made of it - I still bought it on DVD and on BD because I never thought we’d see the original version again. I was so chuffed to see it abounded by Shout.

Shout’s on a roll this year, what with this, the Omen set, The Fan, Prophecy - they’ve really indulged their licences.

yep, and all the Universal classics and other vintage releases. the cancellation of Isle of the Dead was a bit of downer though. whatever, caused the withdrawal will hopefully be ironed out in the future.

Pre ordered My Bloody Valentine from Wowhd, hopefully it isn't limited & they are allocated stock. Does anyone know if they take money straight away for pre orders?
