being a studiocanal film I'm expecting Masque to get a bells and whistles release in the UK by a boutique label or by SC themselves so I'll hold off a little while.

count me as a fan of Event Horizon. i love the batshit crazy ones where you think how the hell did this get greenlit? maybe a director's cut? unlikely but we can hope.

At least 'Event Horizon' has a cover

That's more than my copy did!

Studio Canal rarely license their films to boutiques so it would be released by themselves if anything, but it's been part of that box set for 6 years and it's not been out yet, so it's probably not likely. I think the best bet would be to buy the Shout single disc version when it comes out.

As far as Event Horizon goes, people on various online channels are talking about two known 'Workprint VHS' tapes, I think the director and producer have them, but there aren't any actual film negatives of the removed content so it would be something like Exorcist 3 Legion cut with the VHS inserts if anything.

I still have that release.

How much do you think a company like Arrow would charge for packaging like that nowadays? £50+

I *think* I still have the slipcase, but it's almost certainly in a different crate than the actual DVD is!

Think I paid £1:50 in CEX for it about 10 years ago!!

SC have recently started to licence to Indicator e.g. The Beast Must Die and one of the titles in the last Hammer set was also SC. But I agree they are likely to do this one themselves. Wasn't it rumoured that SC were going to do a cinema release of the restoration or at least some selective screenings?
