Why would you suspect that?

They do share a lot of releases.

Though Second Sight put out the definitive version of Return of the Living Dead. Hands down one of the best releases across the board, I really have to pick it up.

A lot? Scanners 2 & 3. And MGM don't own The Burning over here, so don't know why people think Second Sight will release it.

But you're right, SS's blu of Return Of The Living Dead is a great release.

I wonder if Second Sight have made any progress with The Burning, though. I remember them mentioning it as one of their hopeful options a little while ago.

The last official Home Video release of The Burning in the UK was from Thorn/EMI (they were horrified, at the time, that one of their titles had made the nasty list), so no idea who'd hold the rights now. As far as I know Vipco never officially had the rights, so don't look at them for answers.

But when Dragon tried to release it on the continent, MGM stepped in, so maybe MGM DO still hold the rights here.

I was led to believe MGM hold the rights in Europe and america. As the extras seem to be from the MGM dvd well there certainly isnt any scream factory exclusive bonus content.
