Anyone else think we're living in some ****ed up crazy world, where something like Eve Of Destruction gets a BD while Eliminators, The Vagrant and Exterminator 2 get dumped on budget dvds?
Invid Ninja and trebor8273 like this.

A little, although I'm just happy we received official releases of films like Eliminators and Exterminator 2 at all. I pretty much want all of these new announcements.

I'm pretty disappointed with the line up, and some of the titles seem an odd fit for the Scream Factory line. It's starting to feel a little diluted.

I am quite interested in this:

Quote:
SCREAM FACTORY “TV TERRORS” –Two made-for-TV movies - 1978’s THE INITIATION OF SARAH and ARE YOU IN THE HOUSE ALONE? – will be packaged together on DVD for the first time at a good price. Fans have been asking us if we could exploit more of this made-for TV content so consider this an “experiment”. If this sells well, we would love to look into bringing you a “Volume 2”. (Dec 2012)
I am one of many who has been urging them to pick up some made for TV movies, and I'm glad they're experimenting with it. It hasn't always worked in the past, but there almost seems to be a renaissance of interest in the made for TV movie, I see genre fans blogging about them, people discussing them on podcasts, far more interest in them than I've ever seen before. No one else is bothering, and there seems to be an interest, so I hope Scream Factory's experiment proves to be a success. Never seen The Initiation Of Sarah, but Are You In The House Alone? is fun.

Apparently SF turned down Night Of The Demons because their slate is full for 2014. Hmmmmm, yeah, i'm sure we'd all rather have Eve Of Destruction.

Admittedly I'd never heard of Eve Of Destruction, reading it makes it seem like one of many super silly looking Terminator cash-ins. But I'm somewhat of a sucker for those so that's why I remain curious; it reminds me of the weird female Terminator clone Retaliator with Robert Ginty.

I like Eve of Destruction.

I'm surprised its not a film you have a higher regard for. Whilst not a classic, it is an entertaining action / sci fi film in the Terminator style. A widescreen release is something its never had here or in the US so to me its a more worthwhile release than most of the others SF have given us.

This. I'm happy with the Nightbreed and Cat People announcements and the others are good but they just don't seem like the "big" titles that I came to expect.
