I also find it hard to fathom that SF would turn down NOTD just because they have a 'full schedule.'

I mean it's right up there as one of the most beloved cult titles of the decade and is just crying out for a fully loaded special edition. Surely it would sell by the truck load?!?

The old ABUS DVD looks pretty good and has some nice extras, but I think it could benefit from an update by now especially when you consider that it is both 9 years old and OOP!

Get on it Arrow!

Here's the new artwork for SF's Assault On Precinct 13 blu-ray, due in Nov.

With them only using US theatrical artwork on the reverse of their releases, It should be the image below they use (instead of the more familiar silhouette art I'm sure we'd all prefer).

Scorpion Releasing have said that they made quite a large offer for it, but the liscensor wants too much for it, so to have Scream say they turned it down, would either have to mean they turned down the oppurtunity because it cost too much, or turned down an offer or something along those lines.
You are a regular on Blu-ray.com, just out and out ask Cliff about it.

NOTD is one that would be a first day purchase for me.

Will Scream be using new masters for these re-releases (Darkman, Assault on Precinct 13)? Anyone know?

I have the original US releases of each and must say they looked very good. Assault on Precinct 13 has never looked better - a massive leap in quality from the DVD.

I've heard reports that the US Blu of Assault isn't very good. Saying that, I have the Euro release which I imagine is the same transfer and it looked fine to me!

I have no complaints about the US disc at all, mate - I'm not the most over zealous when it comes to scrutinizing transfers though

The US release of ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 looks fantastic. It's a real upgrade. That said if Scream factory can get theirs looking even better then no complaints!

And yet another new art reveal from Scream Factory. Available in Nov, Body Bags. I think this is one of their best new pieces.

Here's the artwork for Scream Factory's BD of Eve Of Destruction. It's using the artwork used to promote the vhs/laserdisc release. Scream told me that they plan to use the original theatrical artwork on the reverse, as Shout objected to it being used on the front. Get this! because Hines pointing the gun almost directly at the viewer, is a no-no. Those crazy yanks! They love guns so much, yet have a problem with their depiction on a dvd/blu-ray cover!
