If your interested, there isn't one of the new Arrow releases i will be buying. I own the Bava films, and the others aren't of interest.

Stop being so defensive and acting as if every negative comment is a slight on you because it isn't.
One..I was making a joking comparision. Sorry if it came out defensive..unfortunately actual tone and intent doesnt always come off as you expect.

Theres only one poster on this whole forum that you'd find me getting defensive towards.

I was mostly confused by your pre-95 classic comment. It kinda came outta the blue there..ya gotta admit..lol

I almost wrote one of these myself. The slasher genre is an area of expertise for me. I actually studied the genre and was working on a book on Canadian slasher films. Life got in the way and I put it on hold for now :-)

Which book is better?
I've read the Legacy of Blood one many times before I found it cheap on Amazon and think it's a good book, the other one only arrived a week or so ago so I haven't really read much of it yet, but what I have read is good although it has reviews for other films besides slashers eg House By The Cemetery and The Devil's Rejects, two films I would never class as slashers

Devils Rejects as slasher?? I guess the are straining to get the RZ fans out there.

HBTC I can kinda see in how its done but I'd say more zombie or supernatural.

Ha, ha and many others.

All the Hammer Dracula and Frankenstein films for instance.

Just to flesh it out a bit i suppose, although i haven't read the reviews so the author may justify their being there in a way i haven't noticed previously.

There are also many slashers i don't know and the list comes up to the present day.

Scream Factory are having a poll on Facebook, asking fans which artwork they'd like to see on From Beyond. Head over there and cast your vote.

Voted A. Classic image rules. Not a fan of the Band art. It was used on a previous release. Sucks big time.

I voted A as well. I do like the Band art, but not only was it used on the UK Waxwork II vhs, but also on the back of the US dvd for Trancers 5 (and even that version was originally used for Trancers 4!).
