Some serious over excitement on their Facebook page, most of the comments had me laughing!

...Or just fans excited over films that most genre fans have wanted on blu for ages...

Is funny though, even though I did comment myself.

They certainly have quality titles coming. The Fog, The Burning, The Howling and Night Of The Comet are all instant purchases for me. I'll wait for Lifeforce to drop in price and I'll get Day Of The Dead if the transfer is a significant leap in quality.

Well some of those titles are stuff people, including me, have been wanting on the format for years. So that kind of excitment are to be expected.

"The Burning" is to me THE best summer camp slasher movie. Yes even better than those F13 movies that I can´t stand to watch anymore, even though I loved them back when I was 14-15. Cropsy kicks Jason´s ass when it comes to beeing creepy and delivering REALLY brutal kills. Tom Savini at his best

"The Fog" is my favorite Carpenter film together with "The Thing". It scared the shit out of me when I first saw it on TV back in the late 80:s, and it still delivers the chills even today. Great actors, great atmosphere, and an amazing soundtrack.

Also looking forward to "Life Force". Yes it´s a bit cheezy, but also a fun mix between a vampire movie and zombie apocalypse with an alien/sci-fi twist on it all.

As I said earlier, 2013 is just getting better and better

Tbh, I think you're all a bunch of weirdo fanatics! They're just movies! Get a grip people*

*Obviously I'm joking. Can't wait to see the Burning on blu-ray and finally get a decent version of Lifeforce. 2013 is going to be a great year for horror fans.

Excellent looking line up! The Burning and The Howling are definites and I'll probably pick up The Fog as well (not sure why they're saying its the first bluray release though). Won't bother with Day of the Dead as the Arrow release is pretty definitive for me and haven't seen Night of the Comet or Life Force so might see about checking them out first.

I wonder if they'll also release Dawn of the Dead and Martin since Arrow didn't retain the rights?

When SF talk about a first blu-ray or dvd release, they mean in the US.
