Awesome. I recently picked up the Bub zombie figure and can't wait to get this one on blu-ray.

So you're not a movie fan if you're not region-free? That's a bit presumptuous, C7. Maybe some of us just can't afford that upgrade at the moment, y'know, what with a global recession in full swing, just in case you hadn't noticed. My wallet is already being squeezed to breaking point through increased utility bills, increased fuel bills, increased food bills and all the rest of it.

But, I do understand that these US labels have contractual obligations, it just seems mad that Scream! don't push to NOT be obliged to do so. Twilight Time don't lock their titles and they're getting their titles, in many cases, from the same licensors. So why don't they have contractual obligations to lock their titles and Scream! Factory do?

I'm wondering if that's down to the limited nature of the TT releases perhaps? The licensors are probably not worried about not being able to resell the rights to other territories for films like Fright Night etc since copies of the TT releases are now scarce.

edut: and to be fair you've jumped the gun on C7's comment there Dae. He's saying almost every collector he knows has gone region-free. That doesn't mean everyone has, and isn't an implied judgement on those who haven't

Over-react much???

Personally I have no idea how the contract works, if you wanna complain or ask why just go to the blurry.com forum and ask Cliff. There might be a reason behind the madness...or not.

Speaking as someone directly affected by the economic crunch ya I really understand the affects of reccesion. 1200 jobs in my sector gone.

Yeah, fair point, I may have jumped the gun a bit there. So my apologies to C7. I misunderstood and took it as a criticism at not being multi-region for Blu yet.

How much are region free players in the UK?
Or are you just looking at advertised Region free players, because in Australia, there are no "region free" players, but most players have a remote code that brings up a settings menu with regions. I got my model for $54 AUD!
