The missing footage needs to be reinserted. It would make Part 2 a genuine 5 star slasher movie.

Come on someone. Please add this footage and release a definitive F13TH box set.

The quality of the footage is not very good and would really jar you out of the movie. But given that this is the best quality available I agree they should have done a composite cut even if its just to show what might have been.

Practically every Ft13 film has been compromised by the mpaa. Some of the footage for the other parts looks quite strong. Doesn't look like there'd be that much of a quality jump for Part IV for instance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYDS9kgpBt0

I find it slightly irritating that directors/studios when doing this trade off with the mpaa weren't more diligent in keeping the snippets of original negative from the mandated cuts.

There are a few kill scenes in the arrow DVD release of Silent Night Deadly Night where the picture quality changes quite a bit. I figure they must’ve been cut at some point (...?). Doesn’t detract for me, at least. I’m surprised SF didn’t splice the uncut footage back into the film! Missed opportunity for sure, and defo a point that would annoy some buyers, especially following their lengthy press release where they excitedly announced that they’d discovered the footage.

There's no indication so far that the new release is any different.
The eyeball popping scene seemed a bit more graphic.....maybe not.

I just got my email too. I've only watched up to Part 8, since I want to see the proper versions.

That said, I bloody hate Part 9.
