I don't like the artwork myself, if I had the artwork they use for the Amaray I might get it. :)

i'm surprised nobody has mentioned that Second Sight have changed their Facebook cover photo to a picture of the Amityville house

does anyone know what SS are planning regarding the release: original only? remake only? boxset?

Ooh good spot Rob, I hadn't noticed that. I hope they put the second one out that's a great film.

TJ Doc 9th February 2017 07:37 PM

I expect them to match the US and AUS first three movie collections.

I hope they go the extra mile and try to license as many of the later sequels as possible.

TJ Doc 10th February 2017 11:47 PM

Or maybe they're only releasing the first one in a steelbook.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06X3RXP...tyville+horror

... Bit of an anticlimax if so.

They put Scanners out in a steelbook and the sequels as regular amarays. I don't think Second Sight have ever done a boxset.

DaveH 11th February 2017 01:03 PM

Hi JH, Second Sight released the 3 Basket Case movies, though in a single steelbook and then amaray version.

Mm. Needs to be much smaller. Though even without the tagline I'm not overly keen. Preferred the blue and grey tones on the old MGM special edition dvd.

Amityville II is still pretty messed up after all these years. Easily the best of the lot.

You need to remedy that mate.

Lifts lines and scenes wholesale from that other famous possession film from the seventies....As FH states above,a mean and rather nasty film!

Apparently Second Sight are going to release Willard, most likely using Shout's master.

Looking on Google I don't see that many options. Certainly nothing great.

The US dvd has this artwork, the same as Rob4 posted. Plus the disc is packed with extras.

Love the film by the way. Easily my fave Stuart Gordon movie.

It's certainly the one I think of when I think of Space Truckers. I can't remember the film though, I've not seen it since I rented it from the video shop!

Yep, the Original UK art. EIV were pretty crap when it came to their marketing, imo. I prefer the US poster, used on the dvd above.

I didn't compose that photo very well. The dvd gets lost on the cover of Metal Hammer i used as a background.

I bet it had you pulling your hair out, so to speak.

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 26th May 2017 06:14 PM

I actually watched that for the first time a few months ago and quite enjoyed it, so I'll probably pick up the BD eventually.
