I'm going to go on record here & say that this will be THE version of Dawn to end all versions!!! I've collected loads over the years & watched every commentary, interview, etc you can get both visual & in print.

Cannot wait for this!

Can someone please tell me what the differences are, between the 66 minute and the 100 minute versions of Document of the Dead? I seem to recall reading that the longer version shows Roy Frumkes on the set of Two Evil Eyes. Is it just added Two Evil Eyes content or does that 100 minute cut also have any additional Dawn of the Dead material?

As far as I am aware, the film has had two updates since the original 66 min version. The first time it was updated was with the Two Evil Eyes content added. It was then updated again as The Definitive Document Of The Dead with new interviews about Romero's later Dead movies taking the running time to 100 mins.

Before Synapse released their 100min version there was one from 1989 which runs for around 84 mins, I think that's the version that was on the Arrow Dawn.. set way back when. I had it on VHS and I remember it having bits from Two Evil Eyes in it so it must have been the 84 min version rather than the 66 min one.

So instead of a Halloween treat,it's now a Christmas treat.
Wonder how much interest all those paid in full preorders earned....

It'll be so close to Christmas when Amazon end up delivering my copy (just five weeks) that I'm actually going to treat my pricey 4K UHD Dawn boxset as my sole Christmas present this year. I'll check that the contents are fine and that all the UHDs/bd/cds load up and play, then wrap it up ready to be accessed on the 25th of December. Weirdly making it into a Christmas present makes me feel better about spending quite so much on it (it's obviously a truly brilliant film but 75 notes is not a small amount of money).

Yeah, this was going to be my birthday present. So much for that.

If I remember rightly this release was first teased in January 2019.
So, not much time to sort it out then!
