Default Weekly Comp - The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - 05/12/08

WAHEY! IN 20 DAYS TIME IT'LL BE XMAS!! So, this week, I decided to xmassy it up a bit. Hopefully this xmas idea will work better than the 'secret santa' idea. . So THE RULES are simple. All you have to do, is PM me the title of the infamous film which this poster belongs to, without the xmassy theme. Simple!

Once again the winners will be randomly selected, possibly from a Santa hat this time. And 3 lucky winners will each get this DVD:

THE GIRL WHO LEAPT THROUGH TIME

Based on one of the most popular and most frequently adapted modern stories in Japanese literature ('Paprika' author Yasutaka Tsutsui's 1965 novel 'Toki o Kakeru Shojo'), the award winning, feature-length anime THE GIRL WHO LEAPT THROUGH TIME comes to DVD in December riding a wave of critical acclaim heralding it as "bittersweet, beautiful and absolutely brilliant" (SFX – 5 Star review), "sweetly entertaining" (Daily Express), and "warm and engaging" (Metro).

Produced by Madhouse Studio (Paprika; Millennium Actress; Perfect Blue), directed by Studio Ghibli veteran Mamoru Hosoda (director of Digimon: The Movie and the originally intended director of Howl's Moving Castle before Hayao Miyazaki took the reins), with art direction by longtime Ghibli art director Nizou Yamamoto (Princess Mononoke; Little Nemo: Adventures In Slumberland) and character design by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Neon Genesis Evangelion), THE GIRL WHO LEAPT THROUGH TIME was the first ever recipient of the Japanese Academy's newly formed Best Animation Film Award in 2007.

THE GIRL WHO LEAPT THROUGH TIME (cert. PG) will be released on DVD (£17.99) by Manga Entertainment on 8th December 2008.

Something different but brilliant (just read the reviews!).

GOOD LUCK!

Right. Now this is the right thread! Sorry about that - must be looosing my mind!

So the winners for this week, as posted in the wrong thread, are Neil, Tall Dude and Mark Meakin.

Sorry for the confusion, It's been a hectic day and I'm stupid.

Well done.

I think that's right
