Weekly Comp - The Wild Geese - 03/03/2009

Evening everybody! Well for this week, I've given the pictures a well deserved rest. So, since it was April Fools on wednesday, what's the funniest prank that you've ever pulled or had pulled on you? Pics would be BRILLIANT! The funniest will be bundled in a hat and 3 be randomly be selected again to win......

03/04/2009 The Wild Geese

"RIPROARING BLOOD AND GUTS ACTION." – VARIETY British film legends Richard Burton (Where Eagles Dare; Cleopatra), Roger Moore (James Bond) and Richard Harris (Gladiator; Unforgiven) head up an all-star cast in the much-revered, all-action adventure film, THE WILD GEESE, coming to DVD as a Special Edition release in March. The trio of acting heavyweights star as the leaders of the film's eponymous group of heroes, a band of crack mercenaries hired by a British industrialist to penetrate a remote and hostile corner of the African wilderness and rescue a deposed political leader from a heavily guarded prison. While the prisoner is a man with noble visions of racial reform, the industrialist financing the operation cares only about his own business interests.
A high octane, thrill-ride directed by veteran action and western director Andrew V. McLaglen (The Sea Wolves; Chisum) and edited by John Glen (the director of the Bond movies For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View To A Kill, The Living Daylights and Licence To Kill), THE WILD GEESE also stars Hardy Kruger, Stewart Granger, Frank Finlay, Barry Foster and Patrick Allen.
THE WILD GEESE – SPECIAL EDITION (cert. 15) will be released on DVD (£15.99) by Arrow Films on 30th March 2009. Special Features include: audio commentary by star Roger Moore, producer Euan Lloyd and editor John Glen; The Last Of The Gentlemen Producers – The Life And Works Of Euan Lloyd; star-studded world premiere newsreel footage; photo gallery; trailer.

Hopefully this comp'll be a lot of fun. Good luck!

Well I played a prank on someone at work. I went out to get a key cut and she wanted me to give her the receipt so she could claim it back out of the petty cash. Anyway I pretended I had lost the receipt and despite asking several times I continued to deny I had it. In the end she looked close to tears so I kind of backed down then and told her it was a joke.

my dad once played a good trick on a friend

all out eating a meal and his friend gets up for the toilet, while hes away the guys soup arrives, so my dad filled the guys spoon with white pepper from the pepper shaker and gently slides in into the guys soup.
the guy comes back, take a nice mouthful of soup and ends up spitting and coughing most of it over the table :woot:

Phoned a 'plumber' who I know one day, witholding my number and asked him in an English accent if he could fit an outside tap for me.-'Sure he said, where do you live?'-'The fifteenth floor of the Red Road flats' (Now anyone who knows Glasgow will know that these were once the highest flats in Europe) 'I know it will talk a LOT of copper pipe, but I'm willing to pay for it.'........
'How will I measure how many lengths you need,to price the job for you?'......'You stand at the water mains below, and I'll drop the tape measure out the window holding one end-I've got a 200m tape.'.....'Oh okay can I take your name and address?'....to which I could finally no longer keep it going without bursting into laughter........Definetly not the brightest tool in the box this chap, who will safely remain anonymous........

Good stuff Scotland!

I once had a prank played on me in Mexico and they brought me a hot dog up but they put a plastic cockroach in it. Next thing I panicked, threw the hot dog and got ketchup everywhere and was in a bad mood for the rest of the day :(. Sooooo funny, not!

Like it Brum.....:D

Here's a good one for any of you that have kids that have a goldfish......
Safely remove the goldfish to a temporary safe home.Slice a piece of carrot approximately the same size as the fish and put it in your hand above the tank.
Shout on the kids-quickly flash the piece of carrot in your hand and quickly put it in your mouth crunching loudly! Watch as their faces turn to horror!
PLEASE REMEMBER TO TELL THEM THE PRANK THOUGH!
I can expect the DSS at my door tomorrow eh?

I first saw this done on Candid Camera. The guy set the tank up in a laundrette and scoffed the 'carrot fish' as people passed. One woman gave him a right thumping with her handbag and called him a cannibal.

Hey there!

Well, I've got a bit of a confession to make. This comp was actually one big prank all along! By that I mean that this week's comp winners will be randomly selected through everyone who did NOT enter!

Well that was my plan, until Almar absolutly rightly pointed out just how cruel that was!!! Which it was! So, now, this comp will a very nice 'prank' :). Three winners who DID enter will, as usual, be randomly selected (although theres not many to pick from this week hehehe) and will each recieve the excellent arrow realease of 'The Wild Geese'! Wahey!

But on top of that - 3 people who did NOT enter this week, (but have entered in previous weeks) will each win a different DVD too! Hehehe. See much nicer than my evil plan.

So without furthur ado - this week's winners for THE WILD GEESE are......

Jim Corrupt!
