The Last Comp Of 2011! - FINISHED

What a year it's been!

A lot has happened in 2011; there were plenty of brilliant new films in and out of cinemas, incredible releases that made every cult film fan squeal with excitement, huge world events that are bound to go down in future history books and, personally speaking, this year has proven to be the best so far - no question about it (saw Judas Priest live, went Frightfest with a very good friend, graduated from uni, got a job, flat and fell in love with someone very special).

All in all 2011 has been one hell of a year!

2011 also saw just under 90 competitions on the Cult Labs forum! We've given away some truly great prizes this year, from the best cult DVDs and Blu-Rays around, exclusive money cant buy goodies, signed movie merch, tickets to incredible places/events, magazine subscriptions, t-shirts and much more. From competitions based on invading countries and huge games of hangman, to crazy mixed up animals and guess-that-film brain teasers.

So here is the very last competition of 2011!

I know that the final daily Christmas Countdown Comp is still running at the moment, but I have to go to bed soon as Santa Claus is coming and mummy said it's naughty to stay up late.

And a huge huge huge thank you to all you guys and girls who have entered the comps this year - without you, there would be no Comp Corner :)

But what's up for grabs for this last 2011 comp? Well......

BATTLE ROYALE IS BACK!

http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/m...VD_Mock-up.jpg

The cult Japanese movie that defines twisted action and sickening violence is ready to shock you all over again.

Arrow Video's Battle Royale Limited Edition DVD and Blu-Ray was released on 13th December 2010. Both format releases feature brand new restored high definition transfers of both the Theatrical Cut and Director's Cut, brand new subtitle translations, limited edition packaging numbered #/5000 with certificate and a whole host of new and exclusive extra features.

In a world where teenagers have no respect and adults are losing control there can be only one solution: Battle Royale! Now, see what happens when you let a high school class loose on an island, arm them and then give them a simple choice... Kill your friends or have them kill you; with poison, cross-bows, machetes and dynamite. ‘Beat’ Takeshi Kitano (Violent Cop, Zatoichi) is a teacher pushed to the edge by his unruly charges. Kidnapped and gassed, his class wake up with exploding metal rings around their necks. If they rebel, they could lose their heads. Now they have three days and only one is permitted to survive this grisly battle to the death.

Directed by the master of 70s Yakuza thrillers Kinji Fukasaku and featuring Kill Bill star Chiaki Kuriyama, Battle Royale is the movie that helped to define extreme Asian cinema in the 21st Century.

AND

- The Shameless release that leads the Best Shameless Release of 2011 poll.

But how do you win?

Well, this time of year is a time for past memories, traditions, reflections, and nostalgia. As such, this competition is just like the ones I used to do when the comps first started!

Below is a visual montage of 7 films released in 2011. All you have to do is figure out what they are from the picture clues and then PM (Private Message) me your answer.

Only one winner for this Super Comp - however, if loads of people enter, I'll sort out some runner-ups - but it'll have to be loads :p The winner will be randomly selected from those who get all 7 correct, or whoever gets the most correct.

Clues will be given, anyone can enter and there's no limit to guesses.

This competition is open NOW and ends in 2012 :p (the 1st) so get entering!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

And

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Oh, and for those pedantic types amongst you ;), some of these may have been made in 2010, but they were released in this year.

In the spirit of Christmas, frankly, that is quite unacceptable.
