Hi everyone,

We're really spoiling you this week!

If you like your cult films a little bit naughty then look no further than this incredible book dedicated entirely to the sexy side of adult film. We've got three to give away and here's all the details...

Peep Shows: Cult Films and the Cine-Erotic

Edited by Xavier Mendik
Director of the Cine-Excess International Film Festival
Brighton University
Cine-Excess - Home

Building on recent theoretical discussions of celluloid erotica, as well as the explosion of populist interest of ‘lifestyle pornography’ that emerged from the Fifty Shades of Grey phenomenon, Peep Shows: Cults Film and the Cine-Erotic contains 21 accounts of erotic film traditions from a variety of critical perspectives.

Peep Shows: Cult Films and the Cine-Erotic examines global traditions of cult erotica, explaining key patterns, paradigms, and performers from the world of cult celluloid sexuality. This wide reaching volume includes profiles of porn performers and icons including Ron Jeremy, Betty Page, Catherine Breillat, and Joe D'Amato.

Essays also provides case studies of contemporary porn parodies, lesbian erotica, Japanese Pink porn cinema, Café Flesh, the Seduction cinema label, the dominatrix in erotic cinema, female porn viewers, burlesque cinema programming, and porno chic soundtracks. The volume features exclusive interviews with erotic performers such as Seka, Buck Angel, Misty Mundae,
Christina 'Thriller' Lindberg and the prolific porn producer Michael L. Raso, as well as containing a newly prepared foreword by iconic American porn director Veronica Hart.

About the Editor
Xavier Mendik is director of the Cine-Excess Film Festival and a Principal Lecture in Film at Brighton University. He is the author, editor, and co-editor of eight significant volumes on cult film, including 100 Cult Movies (2011), The Cult Film Reader (2009), Alternative Europe (2004), Shocking Cinema of the Seventies (2002), Underground USA (2002) and (2000). We do try Paul :) It's a brilliant book too - if you've read his other work, you'd know exactly that.

Speaking of Super Comps, if anyone has contacts or ideas for something we can run a super comp for, drop me a PM. A new book, game, toy - anything to do with cult films really.

Yeah, his writings in the 100 Cult Films books is great. I do like academic readings of cults films so do enjoy his work.

Ooh err! Just make sure you get the people's consent first :)

Don't blame me; this competition has corrupted my previously innocent brain

I haven't read any of his stuff, but I did have the old DVD of The Duller Killer with his intro a few years ago, might have to check out his books

EDIT: Apart from his contribution to Fab Press' Cannibal Holocaust book, forgot he had an input in that one
