 Weekly Comp - PiranhaConda - 4th April 2013 - FINISHED
Hi all, How you doing? First off, HUGE apologises for the lateness of this week's competition! I needed confirmation of the prize this week and work has been pretty hectic. Anywho, this week's prize is a very fun and very silly movie.... Piranhaconda  Half Fish, Half Snake...All Death! “Piranha” meets “Anaconda” (obviously!) in this giant-monster action delight from executive producer/movie legend Roger Corman and the writer of “Sharktopus”. Key talent: From executive producer legend Roger Corman (Piranha; Little Shop of Horrors; Dinoshark), veteran Hollywood exploitation director Jim Wynorski (Chopping Mall; Camel Spiders) and writer Mike MacLean (Sharktopus), Piranhaconda stars Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs; Kill Bill: Vol 1; Donnie Brasco), Rachel Hunter (The Benchwarmers), Shandi Finnessey (Sharktopus) and Rib Hillis (Two and a Half Men; CSI: Miami). Synopsis: Whilst filming the latest installment to their horror trilogy on the scenic island of Hawaii, low-budget filmmakers Milo and his crew desperately try to combat the endless barrage of problems that threaten the filming process and ultimately their movie’s success. With investors dropping out like flies, a lead actress who is more concerned with drinking a cold Frappuccino than her performance and a gang of kidnappers who are intent on capturing cast members and holding them for ransom, it’s safe to say that “Head Chopper 3” just isn't running as smoothly as desired. Yet, an even bigger problem lurks precariously on the island that presents a much, MUCH bigger calamity than those surrounding the making of their amateur slasher movie… When hitchhiking scientist Professor Lovegrove (Michael Madsen) discovers a nest of eggs belonging to a gargantuan creature previously thought to have only existed in Polynesian folklore - the so-called “River Devil”, a freak of nature aberration between a piranha and an anaconda - a terrifying game of cat and mouse ensues on the tropical island involving Professor Lovegrove, the low-budget film crew, an unsuspecting holiday couple and a band of kidnappers who have finally met their match! Who else has the ability to merge every single terrifying creature on Earth EVER and still create something so exhilarating it’ll have you begging for more Dr Frankenstein-like creations?! And with a stand-out performance from scenery-chewing Quentin Tarantino favourite Michael Madsen, “Piranhaconda” may just be the ultimate critter cross-breed film that has ever lived! May the legend continue! ---------------------- From the director of Chopping Mall? I'm sold!  I've got three copies of this DVD to give away this week. But how do you win? Well, very simply! The whole premise of this movie is pretty damn stupid...but cool nevertheless. So, in keeping with this, all you have to do is come up with your own similar movie. I'll start of by mentioning a film and then, the next person has to create a new fake film by combining it with another movie (Just like Piranha + Anaconda = PiranhaConda!) and come up with a little description. Then, after the fake film idea, finish your post with a real film title. The next member to comment will then have to combine that film with another to create something bizarre. So, for example... Person 1: Dawn Of The Dead Person 2: Dawn Of The Dead + Toy Story - When there's no more room in Hell, Woody, Buzz and Rex, the last remaining toys must overcome Zorg's army of plastic-eating zombies. Bo Peep returns...from the grave! For the next film I pick Paranorman! Person 3 then combines Paranorman with another film to create something else equally silly. At the end of the competition (Sunday) we should have quite a funny thread full of weird movie combos! The three winners will be selected from the strangest and funniest entries in this competition. | Star Wars & the 7 Dwarfs The first film in the new Disney run line of Star Wars films sees exciled Princess- Leia teaming up with the infamous 7 dwarfs to clear her name after being thrown out of Mos Eisley for alleged incestuous relations with her twin brother Luke Skywalker. Binks now heads a squad of Maniac Cop commando's on an assault on Disney HQ. After a fierce battle Binks is defeated by R2D2 who accidently trundles over his toes. In despair at Binks godawful acting Lucas calls off the raid. Meanwhile the newly knighted Emperor Abrams looks on from his tower at the Disney castle, to his right, protected by Storm Troopers, is a cradle, in it born a child of incest, also it seems with breathing difficulties, preparing to take over film land once again. Airheads Force One The presidential plane is hijacked by some guitar-playing morons desperate to prevent a war with North Korea. Obama is played by Harrison Ford, and he kicks their asses out of the emergency exit and celebrates by playing air guitar all the way to Guam. Next movie: The Accused. |

| The accused + Jurassic Park
Starring Jodie Foster and Sam Neill, this powerful drama centers around the horrific gang rape of a paleantologist, (Jodie Foster), by a pack of drunk, hungry velociraptors, whilst Jeff Goldblum and a tyrannosarus rex cheer them on, in a dino theme park. A powerful court-room drama ensues. After her ordeal, the main char cter, goes to court to tell her story, however the case is dropped as it is revealed she has stolen some dino dna to open up a rival park, the judge then spits hot liquid in her face, so yet another court case fires up, against the judge, Jeff Goldblum and the T-Rex. Scaramanga has really bitten off more than he can chew this time, as his next assignment takes him to Manchuria....and beyond the grave!!
