Default Halloween Comp #1 - The Conjuring - FINISHED

Hello Cult Labbers!

To celebrate Halloween this year, not only have we given the forum a makeover with plenty of great new smilies, but every day running down to Halloween, we'll be hosting a competition too, giving away some great horror goodies! Look out for some signed posters too...

13 Days 'Till Halloween. 13 Days Of Competitions!

Be sure to keep an eye on the official Cult Labs' Twitter page as well, as each day you could win a horror prize on there too!

So be afraid. Be very afraid...

13 Days Till Halloween:
The Conjuring Blu-ray!

James Wan directs this horror starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as real-life demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. When the Perron family experience strange goings-on at their farmhouse, they enlist the help of paranormal experts Ed and Lorraine. As they investigate, however, the couple begin to realise that, despite their expertise, they may not be equipped to deal with such a violent and foreboding evil...

TO ENTER:

All you have to do to enter this great Halloween competition is to let us know what Halloween costume you have worn in the past is your fave. Post a photo of it below or make a post telling us about your costume. It can be from your childhood, this year's costume or anywhere in between!

This competition will close tomorrow when one winner will be selected, before the next great competition is launched.

So good luck everyone! Lets hear about those costumes...

Being in Australia, Halloween isn't really celebrated over here. There's always some kids that will go and knock for candies but not too many. Houses don't get decorated, People don't really take notice of it. So dressing up in a Halloween costume, There's not many times it's really happened in my life. I remember we went in my early teens a few times. Just to goof around, but the costumes were simple. For example, I remember one year I just threw on one of those beanies with dreadlocks stitched into it, tied some bandanas around my wrists and stuck a piece of cut garden hose into the side of a small plastic milk bottle...I was Bob Marley that Halloween but that's not the story I wanted to tell. The main Halloween costume story I remember from when I was a little kid was when I was going to a Halloween party. I was probably 5 or 6. I was in the cub scouts and they were throwing a halloween get together. So I decided my costume would be a MUMMY. I wanted to be dressed up as the original walking dead (of course at that age I didn't really know what a Mummy was). So a few hours before the party, My mother started helping me put on my costume. She had bought medical bandages and was wrapping them around my whole body and adding red food colouring in patches to look like blood. It was great! I loved it! I was so excited to be going as a Mummy. Next thing, my older sister walks out to us and says "What if he needs to go to the toilet". I froze. I started getting nervous. I think my mother was just like, He'll be okay. But in that moment, Just the thought made me need to go! So I started wriggling. My mother kept wrapping. Finally I said, "No, I can't have this. I will need to pee!". So she quickly unwrapped me and I ran to the bathroom. After that I just changed into a playtime army outfit i had. It was really disappointing. I really wanted to be a Mummy and I was upset that I didn't get to be.

I played at gig with my band on Halloween a couple of years back dressed like Freddy Krueger, bloody hot and sweaty in that mask and hard as Hell to play guitar with the claw on!

Dressed as Dracula, I was about 7 years old my mam bought the full outfit, the white shirt to go underneath the black buttoned up suit jacket. Black trousers and black shiney shoes with a really well made black cape. My face was pained pale white and I had my hair slicked back into a V shape. Fake blood pouring from my mouth and glow in the dark fake fangs (which made me wretch).

That night I made loads but added real blood to the occasion as I was knocking on a door and when I got my treats I said "thank you" then as I turned I fell over a cracked concrete slab and slammed my face into the ground which cut my bottom lip and bloodied up my nose

Being a self service supervisor at a supermaket I direct customers to both the staffed tills and the self service. We are allowed to wear Halloween costumes this year and my idea, (if I can get it together in time), is too dress as the Grim Reaper, complete with Scyth and using a skeletal hand slowly point to the next available till whilst saying "Next please" in a menacing voice. It actually helps that our store is based next to a major hospital!
