So, the release date for volume 20 has been pushed back. :censored:

It had been scheduled for release in late April!

Yep, I'm afraid so, Governor. It's been pushed back a fortnight to include a whole disc full of special features (listed above).

i finished volume 20 yesterday.. :(

my first time watching the complete run all the way through having started in January 2011.

great scenes with Rita at the end. didn't remember very much of it at all.

i'm sad it's over. i've really enjoyed the experience. not sure i'll start back at the beginning again though.

The~Governor 28th May 2013 04:06 PM

Waldo,

Now that you've seen the entire run - what was your favourite era of the show, what were the highlights for you?

Also, do you think it ended at the right time or could it have gone on? I personally would rate the last half of 1986 as being amongst the best of any Prisoner.

Just interested to get your thoughts

Well I've just finished watching the final episodes from the last box set

It was surprising how well this held up especially in the final scenes

I'm not sure this should have continued as I think it went out on a high, but what I would have loved to see is a sequel set some 5 years later perhaps with The Freak as top dog possibly followed by the return of a certain Ms. Smith.

mr 420 16th December 2013 11:17 PM

Kyle, what ever happened to the competition to win this? My bet is you completely forgot. :)

The~Governor 17th December 2013 11:16 AM

Hi mr 420,

This is one of the very best releases IMO.

It features amongst other things Rodney's sensational bashing of Spider where he goes berserk and completely loses it after being goaded into bashing Simpson by the freak; the fantastic Blackmoor riot and the subsequent follow up story with Ernest Craven in charge at Wentworth and his violent death at the ends of Lorelei and finally the series ending where Joan Ferguson finally gets her long awaited comeuppance.

There are also two separate audio commentaries for the final EVER episode which are a further bonus.

Well worth getting if you've not yet seen it.

It also seems to have come down in price now - available from amazon for about £26
