I have alot of episodes still to watch but the point im up to now my fave character is and always will be Lizzie Birdsworth and a close second and third Bea Smith And Georgie Baxter.

I know what you mean. I've just watched him knocking Judy Bryant about and looking like he was really enjoying it. He has to be in the top 5 evil characters in Prisoner.

my favourite charactor is the one and only vera bennett. i loved her charactor, she was a real hard ass on the outside, but a lonely vulnerable person on the inside. fiona spence played her so brillantly, and i was gripped to every storyline she was involved in. shame she left so early i though the charactor had a lot more left , but the freak was certainly a good replacement!

So many great characters being mentioned in this thread. Vinegar Tits is a fav of mine if just for her nickname alone. Not to mention Queen Bea and the harmless Lizzie. I'm (not!) surprised there's no mention of Gail Summers on here The woman who seemed to be endlessly crying hysterically every moment she was on screen

I'm trying to remember what happens to her - some of these dottier characters sometimes aren't what they seem to be although I think she was ok... I'm behind on my rewatching!

She ends up getting the boot after making one mistake after another due to her failing memory.

Frankie Doyle! Boy, she was only there 20 episodes but she was fantastic! I love Chrissie Latham too, and of course Bea Smith! I like Doreen too, and Lizzie and Viniger Tits always were hilarious!
