Default The Prisoner Awards

I've had this idea kicking about for some time now, but didn't quite know how to execute it. Please let me know if you think this is silly;

The Prisoner Awards - A definitive battle of the best aspects of Prisoner from the show's entire run.

Nominations could be voted for in different categories. Categories ranging from (for example):
Best Character
Best Storyline
Best Actress
Best Actor
Best Episode
Best Comedy Performance
Best Writer
Best Director

At the end of the voting, say towards the end of April or May, we could possibly get some of the forum moderators to act as a judging panel to decide the winners (if they're asked nicely perhaps).

If possible, I'm looking to team up with some of my fellow Prisoner fans to decide on final categories and nominations (with the permission of the moderators of course).

What does everyone think?

Wow!! I think that's a fantastic idea!!! The nominations would no doubt be endless tho, Prisoner gave us so many brilliant actors, storylines and characters.

I'd like to nominate the late, but simply great Sheila Florence for Best Actress!

I'm with Gav - this is a superb idea John! I'm fully behind it and can't wait to see what the results will be.

Mrs. Forster the crazy cat-obsessed social worker just has to be nominated for best comedy performance. I know I go on about her all the time and she's not exactly a main character (!) but I can't get enough of her

Oh man...Just wait til Lois Ramsay comes back as Ettie Parslow (Something I KEEP going on about too!!) But she's even more comedic than Agnes Forster!!!! You're gunna love her!!
She first appears in episode 514 ... where you up to at the mo Kyle?

If I had to choose my favourite best comedy performance tho, it would have to be *SPOILER ALERT* Jenny Hartley playing piano while her "nanna" dies upstairs. The close ups of the thumping walking stick on the floor just kill me!!! To see the hilarity of it all, check out episode 547 and try keeping a straight face!!

Prisoner: Cell Block H - episode 547

Would anyone be interested in joining forces with me to decide on categories?

Maybe we should forget the idea. It's going to take a lot of time to get stuff sorted out.

Thanks Robert - I didn't realise that. Probably not a very good idea after all...
