Tom Baker might have THOUGHT he was The Doctor, especially during the later series, but that was mental eccentricity on his part!

Incidentally, this was taken recently, when I bumped into him in London

Could it be that Tom is actually turning back into Jon Pertwee?

That's a really good point suzi. Although Tom Baker IS the Doctor for me, if it wasn't for Hartrnell, there wouldn't be anyone else to follow. I do think though, that Pat Troughton is also a huge influence on other Docs - Matt Smith included.

From Digital Spy.

Moffat explained that he is wary about confirming any further plans for the sci-fi drama's 50th.

"I don't want people to get bored just yet," he elaborated. "So let's just wait and get our next eight episodes out of the way before we start talking about it.

Seems like there may be more to come.

I'm guessing he doesn't want talk of the future to get in the way of the forthcoming eight episodes.

Rewatched The Five Doctors at mate's behest. Had fun explaining the lack of Baker, T/utilising the Shada footage etc. Still nae a patch on T3D imo, and always nice to see Tegan being pushed out of the way in haste haha. NO ROMANCE

Romance is fine, just not involving The Doctor all or even most of the time. It was a joy having a married couple in the TARDIS.
