Personally I think he'd make a better villain. I find him quite creepy especially his nervous/twitchy performances in Jam . . .

Misterrrr Lizzzzard

Seriously though, I fervently believe he'd bring an edge to his performance not seen since Baker, C.

Check out from 18:03 onwards, with Joanna Lumley as the Doctor!
That's deliberately taking the piss though, hardly evidence that backs your argument.

No it's not - it's a "loving tribute"!!!

Anyway, can we stop all the speculation/suggestions about who will take over from Matt Smith. It's going to happen in December, which is 6 months away, and I fear this thread will just become filled with names instead of proper 'Doctor Who' news and gossip

I watched the first two Matt Smith episodes yesterday for the first time. Really enjoyed them! Looking forward to watching the rest of his then might brave the Tenant/Tate season (I really can't bear her face at all and stopped watching when she joined).

Then I'm gonna start on the old episodes again

I was in exactly the same boat. I hated her due to her stupid sketch show.

By the end of The Fires of Pompeii (episode 2) she was and still is easily my favourite companion of the new series.

Oh really? Definitely worth going back to with an open mind then.

Watching the first 2 episodes of the first Smith series I had forgotten how enjoyable the character of the Doctor is, in any guise. Really looking forward to the rest of his run. Hopefully I'll catch up in time for the 50th Anniversary
