Don't be awkward Hawk. You know they are just spin offs. When has the tv series ever referenced a Virgin New Adventure for example?

Rights issues, but they have referenced the BBC Past Adventures on a number of occations. Boom Town referenced the events of the novel Monster Inside for example, and Big Finish seem to enjoy riffing the new series by peppering there releases with references to Nu-Who.

The BBC made a big cock up by not determining which mediums were "canon".

In my mind its just the stories broadcast on tv, excluding Dimensions in Time and The Curse of Fatal Death which were parodies.

I also includes relevant episodes of Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures as canon.

The books of which i own many and the audio's of which i have around thirty are essentially fan produced spin offs, as enjoyable as they are.

It's not restricted by the title alone, more which writers have property of which characters. BF couldn't use Jago and Litefoot for years because of there legal monopoly. I just see it as one big continuity pot, expluding the two title's you've previously mentioned.

Would all all these be canon due to hem being spin-offs, same as K9 and Company?

Is Torchwood any good incidentally?

When i said relevant i gues i was meaning the ones where other characters from Who pop up as well not just Sarah or Jack. But yeah seeing as both the main characters appeared regularly in Who and both were televised by the BBC then all would be canon, running along side of the main show.

I gave up to Torchwood during the first series. Didn't bother with the second but watched Children of Earth as it was on over five consecutive nights and it was excellent. I never bothered with the final series though. Not sure why.
