That's good to know as that's the next one I'm up to! The moon as an egg one really tested my patience even though I loved the conflict between Clara and the Doctor at the end of it. I will persevere!

Interesting!

I have just discovered that 'Due to circumstances,' the DVD extra feature 'A Fix With Sontarans' has been removed from the later pressings of 'The Two Doctors'

You're well behind with your news Suzi. This came to light at least two months back.

The 'eternal war' flips between Oceania vs. either Eurasia or Eastasia (from memory).

I was just being facetious after your throwaway Oceania comment is all.

Erm, anyway Doctor Who... I'm considering buying a few of my favourite classic stories on DVD.

I have The Daemons, Genesis of the Daleks, Tomb of the Cybermen, and The Web of Fear in my crosshairs at the mo...

Tomb of the Cybermen (which is actually one of my all time favourite Who stories) is (typically) almost triple the price of most of the others though.

I'm generally out of the loop where Who is concerned (as this thread tends to be a battleground for how good/bad that poor imitation of Who is/was/will be).

Are the BBC DVDs decent? The prices are certainly reasonable but just wanted to get folks' opinions before I commit.

The work on restoration and special features puts the majority of dvd's and blu's to shame.

Have a look at this sadly incomplete site to see what extras are on the discs.

Doctor Who DVD Special Features Index Wiki

Seriously B_E you can't go wrong.

I'd check out the BBC shop before plunging into Amazon as well.

If you feel like taking the plunge today i have a code for £5 off on orders of £35 or more. Send me a PM if you want it.

I think Tomb is deleted. But you can get it with these two classic stories in extras loaded sets. http://www.bbcshop.com/doctor-who/do...nvt/bbcdvd3003
