I'm glad TRON Legacy had a decent opening weekend over here, as Disney spent a huge amount on publicity. I was one of 8 people in the cinema on Saturday

Just seen it on an IMAX screen. Very impressive, sounds and looks great. For me it lacked a bit of edge though, some of the dialogue and story I found a bit hollywood too (which I admittedly expected).

Will watch it again but on the whole it's a good film. Of course it could be done better and darker but maybe it would take somebody other than disney to make it that way.

I watched it the other week. The plot seemed to be blatantly ripped-off from the Red Dwarf episode Rimmerworld.

I'm not familiar with that as I've never been a fan of Red Dwarf. I'm intrigued though; what are the similarities?

Tron Legacy is nothing compared to the original. Visually stunning, yes, but that's all it's got going for it.

Yup. One of the quaint essential science fiction franchises.
