January sound good to me as well because it gives me time to:
A) Come up with a list of all the sci-fi films I own and want to own
B) Put that list into a rough order
C) Watch the films I haven't seen in a long time and adjust their position in the list accordingly
D) Refine the list into a definitive 50.

Fun times ahead!

It's certain to give me something to think about! Better than "contemplating my navel" 'cause (if it's an "innie" like mine) after you've determined the (i)depth, (ii)hairiness, (iii)the amount of lint/day that it traps, and (iv)how long it would take to make a felt hat out of said lint... I've gone too far again, haven't I?

Why would you even contemplate the Greek mythology film Jason and the Argonauts being a sci-fi?

Lots of people lump 'Fantasy' and 'Sci Fi' together, A mate was looking thru some of my discs and went "got loads of horror but not much Sci Fi like Austin Powers or Indy"

if you Google "jason and the Argonauts" with "sci fi" you'll see what I mean, probably not helped by the label 'sci fi/fantasy'

plato: I've assumed that The Fly, The Blob, and War of the Worlds are all the original films for the purposes of the list. If not, please let me know!
