i used to watch that film endlessly as a child as i think my sister had it recorded from the tv. i remember lots of the sound effects and laser noises we're the same as the 'Battlestar Galactica' tv series. Maybe the same production team or something.

Definately going to have to check out Humanoid too if i can find it somewhere. Looks great.

I noticed The Horror Channel apparently screened Aldo Lado's schlocky Star Wars cash-in the other night and according to Sky's infobar the broadcast was rated 18. I never caught the version in question but i wonder if it was potentially complete with the aforementioned topless torture scene intact?

It was shown with a PG at the start on the channel & was cut.It looked like they had just screened the old RCA/Columbia 'Silver Series' video version which was censored like the cinema release.

Some sound effects were the same as the original BSG especially the Viper laser sound FX. I remember that being used. Corman would then lift some of the battle scenes from BBTS and reuse them in at least two more movies.

Love, love love The Humanoid! Great Morricone score, and Barbara Bach looked amazing! And, of course...Jaws!

Love this film. It's a guilty pleasure of mine being such a Star Wars (original theatrical release) nut.

Have the film on VHS
Have a copy of the film uncut on disc
Have another copy on disc uncut using the Italian print L'Umanoide
Original quad poster
Front of house stills
Vinyl sountrack
CD soundtrack
CD soundtrack complete score

I went with my brother to the cinema. There was a choice between Battlestar Galactica and The Humanoid. We chose The Humanoid and ever since then I have been a big fan.

This is crying out for an official release on digital media. Please...

Saw it a lot of times. Great fun and score+ Bach is not the only hottie in the movie: there's also the wonderful Corinne Clery.
