Been watching some era "reviews" on YT. Very fannish (DUH), but some great reminders of how very different all the Doctors have been.

I also caved in and watched the other version of The Five Doctors.

Sound!

Funnily enough watched the Pertwee "review" last night. Decent enough, plus the death from Mind Of Evil was one of the clips! Brutal ahem.

Popular music in 'Doctor Who' #71

Episode: 'Cold War'
Artist: Ultravox
Title: Vienna
Notes:
* Soviet Professor Grisenko listened to the song on his Walkman onboard the Soviet submarine Firebird in 1983. Ultravox were his favourite band, and he 'bloody loved' the song!
* The song, which was named as 'Single of the Year' at the 1981 Brit Awards, reached #2 in the UK charts for four weeks, famously being kept off the top spot by Joe Dolce's novelty single 'Shaddap You Face'
* Chrysalis Records was reluctant to release the song as a single, as they thought it was too slow and too long to be successful
* It can be found on the 1980 album 'Vienna'

As seen in the episode
