I watched the first episode of The Faceless Ones last night. In colour.

The animation is far superior to what it was on earlier releases. The early scenes on the runway with the incoming plane were excellent.

Look forward to part two next week.

Popular music in 'Doctor Who' #79

Episode: 'Hell Bent'
Artist: Peter Capaldi
Title: Clara
Notes:
* Played by Peter Capaldi on the electric guitar in the American diner
* In the episode, the tune was composed by the Doctor to represent the memories he erased of Clara
* The tune is also known as 'Clara?' and 'The Impossible Girl'
* In reality, it was composed by Murray Gold, and is a very rare case of a soundtrack composition — as opposed to a vocal song — becoming part of the narrative
