It's a bit bigly!!

From the 1965 / 1966 stage play 'Curse Of The Daleks'

Interesting to note that the Dalek has a claw, and not the usual plunger - I wonder if it's a 'movie' Dalek instead of a 'television' one

Pretty sure that's from The Daleks. The body design is the same. Can you remember, does the one that carries the tray into the prisoners have that arm?

I'm not sure, and I can't really tell from the photos

Interesting:
"The story goes that the Daleks in 1963 were all intended to have pincers, but wielding sharp objects on the end of a shaft was considered a health-and-safety hazard in the studio, and so the famous rubber plunger was implemented instead. The original plans indicate the Daleks could have a number of attachments, but a suction-cup is clearly the main one.

It seems more plausible that money was involved, not just in the manufacture of the claw itself but in building the mechanism which would allow the operator inside to work it. It is worth noting that for the bigger-budget movies starring Peter Cushing, claws were created for several props."
