I watched the extended version of Paradise Towers on Blu-ray last night.

Really enjoyed it. It's a story that is going up in my estimations and the extra sequences really help.

Definitely not the worst Doctor Who story of the classic era (Hello The Underwater Menace) and nowhere near the worst if you add Nu-Who to the mix.

I wonder if the extended version of Time and the Rani will improve that one?

Loved the extras on the Paradise Towers Blu-ray.

The Behind the Sofa feature had some really good commentators in Bonnie Langford, Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, Peter Davison, Janet Fielding, Sarah Sutton, Colin Baker and Michael Jayston.

Everyone seemed to think the series was great with an excellent cast and both Peter and Colin wished it had been part of their tenure.

The Doctor's Table in which Sylvester, Bonnie, Sophie and Clive Merrison have lunch at the Ivy in London and answer wicked questions was also really entertaining and very funny.

Don't have that one yet!

At time of writing, CEX has only given me series 10 (The Three Doctors - The Green Death) and series 12 (Robot - Revenge Of The Cybermen)

I got my copy from CEX on Wednesday for £30. I took £20 of stuff to trade hoping to perhaps use a fiver in exchange then have a bit of credit for future purchases. I wasn't intending using all my credit AND giving them a tenner.

Still. It is absolutely mint condition wise and even has that new Blu-ray smell to it.

I'm surprised at how good it is even though when it was released it was said to have the best extras of any release to date. It really does.

The three hours of studio camera footage at the Paradise Towers pool is er' revealing (Hi Bonnie) and then there's another four hours of studio camera footage in the actual Towers sets.

I think I am on around £70 credit... but (due to my financial situation*) it can *only* be used on something that I can really, truly and honestly justify... AND at the moment there is nothing that springs to mind!!!

* If I spend it on something today, there will be something that turns up tomorrow that I really cannot live without!
