The same source who leaked Sacha Dhawan as The Master in series 12 has also said that David Tennant is returning as the Doctor for three specials before another actor takes over.

Pinch of salt etc but seeing as RT-D is assembling the old backroom team he may well want a familiar ally to kick start his new era.

In my mind, the only way that this would work is if it was done in a 'missing adventure' style and potentially slotted in between some of the stories from the 2009 series - "The Next Doctor' / 'Planet Of The Dead' / 'The Waters Of Mars' and 'The End Of Time'

I honestly cannot see how David Tennant can seriously follow on from Jodie in the role
