Do you mean the Macra as well?

I rather like Gridlock. Love it when a past monster turns up when i don't know about it. A nice surprise.

I may need to revisit it. I haven't seen any of series 3 in ages, wheres't I tend to watch at least one episode of every series of Nu-Who monthley in no real order. I think Cpt. Jack being the Face of Boe is where I called Troll and just forgot about it all. remember Family of Blood and Human Nature being great and Blink being mind blowing though. I'll re-watch all 4 this weekend me thinks.

Gridlock to me was just fun, pure and simple fun. Decent effects, old foe, and i could have imagined Sylvester jumping from car to car during the gridlock.

Have you read Paul Cornell's novel of Human Nature. Its really good. Highly recommended if you can track down a copy.

Season 17 - City Of Death is superb, Destiny Of The Daleks pretty good, but I really can't get enthused about the rest of the season to be honest.

I was with you Mojo, especially with Creature from the Pit.

After seeing the dvd though i totally changed my opinion. It looks terrific and Adrasta is a great villain.

Everyone hates the Mandrels in Nightmare of Eden, but i think they look ok. Its a strange story as tonally its all over the place, especially in dealing with drug trafficking. Is that really a subject for a kids tv show at 5' o clock on a Saturday teatime?

I think the problem with stories like Nightmare Of Eden was that it was wonderfully adult in theme for the tea time slot, but it was just so badly presented. I don't think the show really knew what the hell it was at this time. Plus the jokey pantomime approach was really getting on my nerves at this point ( a similar reason why I went off the latter JNT stories ).

I agree Creature From The Pit does look very good and Adrasta is a good villain. I just couldn't get into the story much. And it doesn't help that the 'Creature' looks like a giant cock

And of course the lovely Lalla is always a bonus

Yes. I wasn't fond of McCoy's era to be honest, although the very last series did improve things. But yeah in general it was the latter day McCoy stuff.
