In memory of Henry Lincoln (1930 - 2022)

Co-writer of the Patrick Troughton stories 'The Abominable Snowmen' (1967), 'The Web of Fear' (1968) and 'The Dominators' (1968), he co-created the character Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. He was last person to have written Doctor Who in the 1960s to have died

Away from the Whoniverse, he co-wrote a series of books including 'The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail' (which was the inspiration for the 'The Da Vinci Code') in 1982. He also co-wrote the Boris Karloff film 'Curse of the Crimson Altar' (1968)

Under his birth name Henry Soskin, he appeared in a number of films and television programmes including the Jerry Lewis film 'Don't Raise the Bridge, Lower the River' (1968)

I love Anthony Ainley's Master. That little curl of the lip when he smirks to himself and that laugh. He was also a complete lunatic rather than Roger Delgado's (almost) perfect gentlemen.

Roger Delgado may be seen as the best Master but Ainley was the version i grew up with. He was my Master.
