Can't say I'm thrilled that ABC, that has screened Who for over 50 years in Aussieland, has now been screwed over and the show is now behind the Disney paywall in this country. Greedy buggers. The BBC have some nerve given the tripe they've served up the last five years. Given my TV can't even get Disney+, guess I won't be onboard with the new era either way.
This is "progress" apparently.

All i can say is thank God it's still a BBC show otherwise we wouldn't have any access to it unless you streamed Disney as they don't even release physical formats of tv series anymore.

Money wise it's not a terrible move but they should allow all those channels that have always purchased Doctor Who to be allowed to continue. That's shit.
Demoncrat, trebor8273 and iank like this.

Well, that's over then. I will confess to something in my eye when William Russell appeared.

Apparently now it's coming out that it's a co-production with Disney+. They're putting money in the production, not just showing it.

I can't help but feel this is getting further and further removed from the show I knew...

From what i understand the co-production money is coming from Bad Wolf Productions headed by former Doctor Who producers Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner. Disney invest in their company rather than Doctor Who directly.
