'An Unearthly Child' is one of the best episodes in the shows history. However, 'The Cave of Skulls ' / 'The Forest of Fear' / 'The Firemaker' *are* a bit on the tedious side!

Stop being pedantic. Episode one, as in the pilot episode, is good, the rest is boring as hell. As a story An Unearthly Child is not great at all.

If this is how the colourised episodes would look then sign me up.

Saw The Rescue last night. Weird, I've struggled to watch any Hartnells for the last couple of years - and this one I haven't seen since 2010! - but for some reason I just felt in the mood. The fact it's a quickie at just two parts may have helped - less intimidating than a 7 parter lol - as did the improved PQ on the Blu, but I think Vicki pushed it over the edge. I like Vicki. I like Bill and Ian and Babs, but Susan always irritated me the piss out of me to be honest. The Vickster is adorable though and cements one of the best TARDIS teams. Season 2 is also a lot more fun than 1 IMO. I really enjoyed this.
