A cameo from William Russell would make my November.

Excuse me while I put my pink, fluffy anorak on:

Colehill School in is Shorditch

According to the story 'Death of the Doctor' from 'The Sarah Jane Adventures', Ian and Barbara got married, are are living in Cambridge

The distance from Shoreditch to Cambridge is over 60 miles

Would a Chairman of Governors really live that far away from the school?

I wouldn't be surprised. Some commutes can be that distance, and it's hardly a permanent on site job. But please, Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease give us an Ian cameo! He's in the comics at the moment and it's only wetting my appetite! Bah!

Oh, and I just finished Deimos and Resurrection of Mars. Expect a review by tomorrow evening.

Personally, I thought it was the best episode out of series 7a and b so far, but I must admit that I do enjoy the more surreal stories

Definitely! He still seems to be in great health despite his age plus he's appearing in the An Adventure in Space & Time docu-drama, it would be stupid not to have him in the special too.

Death of the Doctor was set in the present day, perhaps the scene featuring the school sign is set some time in the past, before Ian moved to Cambridge?

I wouldn't class the episode as surreal at all. It didn't have much of a plot and what it did have falls apart at the slightest bit of questioning.

As soon as the get out button was shown in the first ten minutes it was clear how the episode would be resolved.

I know RT-D favoured pushing the big red button to sort out his storylines, but having a big happy button (or whatever it was called) was just plain daft.

Then we get to the android not knowing he was human after all.... the slightest bit of scrutiny here proves it as, frankly, embarrassing.

Nothing like this ever happened in classic Who. "cough" Crayford and his eyepatch.

.....................

I'm pleased you liked it though Suzi. We all favour different episodes, thats why the show is so great.
