How many times did she use "gay" as an insult? Quite a bit actualy, RTD might have had some satire weaved in there. It didnt work.

And thanks for the kind words Dem, ill kill you last. :P

Is there ever going to be another classic Cybermen story? Because this wasn't it. Good points - I did like the new design and the 'upgrade' idea - it makes sense of the fact that they have changed over the years. The Cybermites were a nice idea too.

Unfortunately they were wheeled on with about ten minutes left. And why does everybody seem to have an anti - Cyberman gun lying around? This really is becoming tedious.

As for the finale, I'm not holding out any great hopes.

Yeah I think we need a new producer. Fair enough there's been some good episodes (The Crimson Horror for a recent example), but I think the Moff's had his time.

To me the Cybermen have never been better than in Tombs, Earthshock and Attack of the Cybermen which all knew how to make them scary on a minuscule budget.

Sadly they have never been the same since they were redesigned as basic robots since new Who started, when they work far better as part human part robotic entities.

They also seem to have lost some of their personality since the 80's which is what made them interesting and threatening only to be replaced by generic production line clones.

I would like to see a new redesign back to the days of Earthshock, mind you I would also like to see episodes of at least 60 mins each, 2 or more companions in the Tardis and depending on how the next two episodes go maybe a new producer and (an older) 12th Doctor

What about The Wheel in Space Hawk?

I have the soundtrack and missing episodes and read the Target book again this year. Its absolutely abysmal.

Worse even than Closing Time.

Can't resist a list.

The Invasion
Earthshock
Tomb of the Cybermen
The Next Doctor
The Tenth Planet*
Rise of The Cybermen
Attack of the Cybermen
The Moonbase*
Army of Ghosts
Silver Nemesis
Revenge of the Cybermen
Closing Time
The Wheel in Space

*I'll re-evaluate these two when i see the dvd releases. And add Nightmare in Silver when i've watched it on Friday. Somewhere near the bottom from what people have said.

Army of Ghosts would be higher but i see it more as a Dalek story.

The only good thing that came of of Wheel was the sequel from Big Finish, Legend of the Cybermen. Arrived this morning and listening to it now. The Cybermen (Invasion style) invade the Wheel once again, but are flung into the Land of Fiction as punishment by The Doctor. Insanity ensues.
