I'm a bit wary of picking up the stories i don't own with animation now. - The Tenth Planet, The Moonbase, The Ice Warriors.

Who knows what the Beeb are working on?

In other news, I just watched episode one of K9. My god that was mindnumbing. might stick it out and see if it ties in anywhere.

I've read Lungbarrow, its a right load of indulgent nonsense, as are many of the New Adventures.

This is incredible news.

It will probably be the biggest budget he's worked with.

"BBC1 will premiere a special first trailer celebrating 50 years of the show just before Atlantis on Saturday 19 October, which is scheduled to begin at 8.20pm UK."

Not sure if its been previously mentioned on here but browsing for Christmas shopping on Amazon I ran into this book currently selling for £19.20

It's getting some good write ups online so may give it a go.

I already have the excellent 60s, 70s and 80s books that came out ages ago and if this is anywhere near as good as those it should make a decent read.

Doctor Who: The Vault (Dr Who): Amazon.co.uk: Marcus Hearn: Books
Its from Hammer expert Marcus Hearn, so it will be very good. He used to write for Doctor Who magazine by the way and still does occasional features. He did a recent piece on the Peter Cushing films and produced loads of never before seen stills and behind the scenes documentation.

The other book which has just come out His Lives and Times is also supposed to be very good.

I'm fairly sure both will end up under the Christmas tree this year.

They actually advertised the trailer after Pointless on BBC 1.

An advert for an advert.
