"The 50th Anniversary episode The Day of the Doctor will be screened in 3D in cinemas across the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada, Germany and Russia, doctorwho.tv can reveal.

216 VUE, Cineworld, Odeon, BFI and Picturehouse cinemas in the UK and Ireland have already confirmed their participation, with tickets for the anniversary screening set to go on sale this Friday October 25th at 9am. Locations include London, Birmingham, Belfast, Dublin, Liverpool, Cardiff and Edinburgh."

Thank you thank you thank you, they have a showing in my city! I was tentatively planning to hop over to London for this, missed the ticket deadline for the convention and had a slightly conflicting reading by Stephen King...

I am so happy now! I just hope it will not be sold out too quickly...

I've just read an interview with Moffat where he said Smith and Tennant enjoyed working together so much they devised a way they could do a new series, each doing 5 stories and 3 together. However Moffat didn't want to know.

I can happily announce that I have two tickets for the Day of the Doctor showing here in Hamburg, not at my favourite cinema, but at least on what I think the best seat in that theater ;-) Strangely enough I got a note that the presale is going well at my favourite cinema right after my purchase, so much about exclusivity But since the good seat were all gone by then, I can live with that...

It has a run-time of 85:24s

OK - apparently this is the run time for the cinema version, which also has a 'behind the scenes' featurette

The run time for the Television version seems to be 76:44 and, according to the BBFC, it contains "mild violence and threat".
